I'm Back
OK kiddies, I have returned. Just got back (about 5 hours ago) from my vacation. Nothing too exciting. Took a trip up to some hole-in-the-world place in Ohio to visit an old friend that moved up there a few years ago. Then a few days at my Aunt's place in southwestern PA. I really didn't do anything terribly exciting, but I managed to get out of town for about a week and I took my new Jeep on its first road trip. And for those of you who are wondering, it passed with flying colors. It was probably the first time in, I don't know, forever, that I didn't hate the long drive.
So, my first week back in uniform wasn't too bad. Nothing particularly exciting happened (which was odd because I was completely expecting something even remotely fucked up to happen). Getting up at the ass crack of dawn was not my idea of a good time, but I managed. Coffee came in large amounts, which was good, and I managed to make it through my shifts. On my two days off last week (before going back to work 1 day then going on vacation), I slept in until 7:30 and felt like a fucking wild man! It's nice to treat myself that way.
Anyhow, I'm enjoying a few more days off before going to the overnight shift on Monday. Going to a co-workers bachelor party in Baltimore Saturday night. That should be a good time. Catching up on my work around the house (lawn looks like hell again...ugh) tomorrow.
Besides H-L-K (since it should go without saying that she is), who else is totally charged about hockey season being around the corner? I can't wait. Going to try to make it out for the first Caps home game (and as many more during the season for that matter). Game on, mofos!

Good to hear that you had a nice vacay! Welcome back! I'm glad to hear that your Jeepage treated you well and made the trip even more enjoyable.
Fuckin' A, buddy! HOCKEY!! We were just talking about it last night. Hopefully our local OLN channel doesn't eff up again this year and airs more than 2 games. They were all over it last year, saying they were going to have 4-5 games on a week... and wow were they ever OFF on those numbers. Very much looking forward to the first puck drop!
Welcome back!! Vacations are GREAT but re-entry is a b*tch! Does it feel weird being back in uniform?
HOCKEY!!! OH YEAH (doing the happy dance) I will definetly be at the home opener. I get there early, watch warm-ups, walk the concorse generally steep myself in the glorious-ness of being home again. Stop by and I'll by you a beer!
29 days, 29 days, 29 days, 29 days,
Kim
I am so pissed I won't be there for opening night. I've got a Reiki seminar to be at all day and then the big woo woo expo on Sunday and need to be fresh and ... well, fresh so no hockey for me that night.
Duty wants to go - didja get tickets yet? If not, maybe you guys can go together??
Glad your vacation was faboo! We missed you. *I* miss you but since you won't write me, I have only your blog to find out what the haps be. (hee hee)
Pups and Lugs,
The saintly Ms. L
